Single Vision Lenses

Single vision lenses have only one single power throughout the entire lens. Most often single vision lenses are used by people who need vision correction for near or far only, but patients who need correction for both can still benefit from having dedicated single vision pairs of glasses.
Anti Fatigue Lenses

Anti-fatigue lenses are designed to deal with eye strain for near/intermediate work in pre-presbyopic patients. This lens is perfect if you do not yet have a prescription for reading glasses, but your eyes still feel tired from extended use of computers, tablets, phones, books, or anything else within arms distance.
Bifocals/Trifocals

Bifocals contain two areas of visual correction which allow patients to correct for both near and far. When you’re looking at someone wearing eyeglasses you’ll be able to tell if they have bifocal lenses since bifocals have a line in the lens that divides distance and near corrections. Trifocals are designed the same way as lined bifocals, but include a third vision zone for intermediate work like at the computer.
Progressives

Progressives, often called “no-line” bifocals, contain three areas of visual correction and there are no visible lines separating the vision zone. A progressive lens corrects near vision, intermediate visions and distance vision. When you’re looking at someone wearing eyeglasses you will not be able to tell if they are wearing progressive lenses since there are no visible lines in the lenses. Progressives are an excellent option for someone who has prescriptions for near and for far and demands a seamless viewing experience for each vision zone.
Computer Vision Glasses

Computer vision glasses are designed like progressives in that they have no lines separating each vision zone, but contain only two zones – for intermediate and for near. A computer vision lens is perfect for progressive wearers who demand larger visual fields for near and intermediate work.

Anti-reflective Coating

Anti-reflective coating, often abbreviated AR coating; improves your vision by reducing glare and eye strain from bright lights, such as those found in night driving, or when working on a computer. They allow more light to pass through the lens making objects easier to see and identify. An additional benefit with AR coatings is cosmetic. AR coatings make it easier for others to see your eyes and identify your facial expressions.
Blue Light Coating

Blue light coating is a special type of AR coating which works by reflecting high energy blue light and preventing it from entering into the eyes. This coating blocks the harmful portion of blue light and allows the healthy portion of blue light to pass through your eyeglasses lenses, allowing for more comfortable vision when using electronic devices.
Mirror Coatings

Mirror coatings are similar in function to Anti-Reflective coatings, but reflect even more light off of the lens. They are recommended for sunglasses for the ultimate glare protection. Available in a variety of colors to allow patients to express themselves more completely with their sunglasses.
Tints

We can tint your lenses to any color and intensity of your choosing. A darker lens is more suited for bright days, while a lighter tint can be extremely helpful on cloudy days, when there isn’t as much light out. Gradient tints are also available to get the best of both ends of the spectrum. We personalize our tinted lenses to meet your needs.
Photochromic lenses

These lenses react to the light (typically UV), to get darker automatically when you are outside. They are most commonly referred to as Transitions, as that is the most ubiquitous brand for this technology. We offer them in a variety of colors and for a variety of lens designs and materials.
Polarized Lenses

Polarized lenses offer incomparable glare reduction in bright light. The polarization filter removes light that is not coming from direct line of sight. The most noticeable result is the removal of unwanted reflections on surfaces like the road, water and other driver’s windows. Polarization also increases your ability to perceive different colors in bright light.
EYEGLASS LENSES MATERIALS
CR-39 (Standard Plastic)
Short for Columbia Resin #39, CR-39 is the original plastic lens. It provides excellent vision and compared to older glass lenses, they are about half the weight and more impact resistant. It is best suited for mild prescriptions (up to ±1.75) and is a good choice for tinted lenses. CR-39 can get thick and heavy for stronger prescriptions, and is not the most durable for more active lifestyles.
Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate was originally designed for use in industrial safety glasses because of their very high impact resistant qualities. Polycarbonate lenses are also 30% thinner and lighter than plastic and recommended for more moderate prescriptions (±2.00-±4.00). Polycarbonate is also recommended for children under 18 years of age and for anyone who has an active lifestyle, due to its impact-resistance. Rimless and semi-rimless frames also work well with polycarbonate lenses.
TRIVEX
Named Trivex because of its three main performance properties: superior optics, ultra lightweight, and extreme strength, Trivex is the optimal plastic for most patients. Trivex is the ultimate option for patients demanding the most out of their lenses. Rimless and semi-rimless frames work even better with Trivex than with polycarbonate lenses.
1.67 High Index
Recommended for more severe prescriptions (±4.00-±6.00) as they help thin the lens more than polycarbonate would. While not as impact resistant as polycarbonate or trivex, High Index 1.67 is a good choice for the mentioned prescriptions or anyone looking for a flatter, more cosmetically appealing lens.
1.74 High Index
Recommended for the most severe prescriptions (>±6.00) as they help thin the lens more than 1.67 High Index would. Like High Index 1.67, 1.74 is a good choice for the mentioned prescriptions or anyone looking for the flattest, most cosmetically appealing lens.
"Dr Stelzner saw me right away and stopped my issue before
it became serious. She also is thoughtful and thinks about the whole picture - a great doctor – not just one to do an eye exam and send you on your way"

Yelp
"Very friendly staff and knowledgeable optometrist. They are helpful and courteous without being pushy or trying to force you to buy something you're not ready to buy yet. The optometrist was very professional and did a great job explaining the changes in my prescription and the new lenses I'd have to choose from as my previous brand is no longer on the market. 5/5 would recommend to anyone needing a good eye doctor in Los Angeles"
